The creative journey of The Cowplain School

Intro

Here in the studio we were very excited to have the opportunity to work with The Cowplain School. When they approached us about refreshing their brand, our Head of Brand and Strategy, Dan Jubb took the lead and began the journey to their new and improved image.

The first step in any brand refresh is an overall review, understanding the personality of the school as well as the feelings of those associated. That's why it felt only natural to hold a workshop inviting some of the students from Cowplain School to our studio. Here they were able to design their own logos, allowing them to demonstrate their creative abilities while also feeling a sense of ownership over the final design.

The pupils' voices were particularly important and definitely came across in the above workshop. Through the students' views and impressions we were able to gain a better understanding of the school and its individuality. We even managed to fit some cupcake decorating in!

 

This engagement of the student body meant that, when we presented our final new logo and branding, all stakeholders were wholly positive.

Dan decided with Cowplain that the best route to take would be to explore each student's own personal success story, highlighting that every pupil has the ability to strive in whatever path they choose. 

After the brand refresh was complete, our digital designer Sam brought it to life online. Again, highlighting the successes' of the students and creating a responsive, user-friendly platform for parents to explore.

We hope we've given the students of The Cowplain School a brand that they can be proud of!
