Intro

Supporting people at risk

Severe allergies affect around one million people in the UK. The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK-wide charity supporting those affected.

We’ve worked with the Anaphylaxis Campaign for a few years, helping them to build awareness and knowledge in schools, colleges, the food industry, among health professionals and other key audiences.

Their latest campaign is AIM (Anaphylaxis Information Matters) – a new, long term project designed to save lives through information, knowledge and support.

Aim campaign

Building awareness, reducing risks

AIM is delivering an urgent message to address the massive increase in life-threatening allergies.

Stage 1 of the campaign targets GPs; building awareness, knowledge and best practice.

  • We created clear and convincing campaign branding with a strong visual identity.
  • Our leaflet design, alongside other printed materials, GP giveaways and a microsite spread the message further.
  • We designed and built compelling graphics for a ClinTalk video on Doctor.net – a key channel for getting the message to where it matters.

Identify, treat & protect

Aimallergy.co.uk gives clear, comprehensive guidance and support to allergy sufferers, guiding them through the complex process of managing their condition with their GP or health professional.  We’ve used responsive web design to create a valuable yet straightforward user experience.

Clear, accessible information

We created a microsite with a strong brand identity, that helps allergy sufferers to recognise and gain access to the best information to help them with their investigation and treatment. Site users access information easily, alongside treatment and management advice, while a combination of hints and tips, user stories and factsheets, helps to support them.

Tips and forms

We created a simple but comprehensive user journey for allergy sufferers and parents of allergy sufferers, to help them prepare for a GP appointment. Armed with this information, the patient is better equipped to get the specialist referrals and prescriptions necessary to avoid fatal anaphylaxis.

Results

Major growth in awareness

Phase 1 of the AIM campaign has been an enormous success. A large increase in health professionals absorbing the AIM message is reducing the risks of anaphylaxis for those with severe allergies:

  • 117% increase in helpline enquiries in the month following launch of ClinTalk.
  • 13,818 AIM posts with 573 reactions
  • 26,640 impressions and 433 engagements on Twitter.
