North London Collegiate School:
Online Magazine

The client

North London Collegiate School (NLCS) is one of the UK’s leading independent day schools for girls aged 4–18, with a history of academic excellence dating back to 1850. The school is known for nurturing curiosity, confidence and individuality through ambitious teaching and opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.

The brief

The brief was to redesign ONLINE, NLCS’s alumnae magazine, reimagining how generations of alumnae connect with one another. As a digital-first publication, the magazine plays a key role in bringing together stories from across the ONL community, celebrating shared heritage while reflecting the breadth of experiences, careers and perspectives that span decades.

The redesign needed to balance tradition with relevance, creating a publication that felt contemporary, inclusive and engaging for a wide-ranging alumnae audience.

Creating a living record

Rather than functioning as a static magazine, ONLINE was designed as an evolving platform, a living record of the NLCS alumnae network that strengthens bonds between past and present and fosters a sense of belonging.

Together, the refreshed design and digital-first approach have helped position ONLINE as a confident, contemporary platform for ongoing alumnae engagement.
