The brief

The Northwood Schools Group is one of London’s leading pre-prep and preparatory school groups. Based in South-West London, the privately owned group educates children aged 4–13 across its family of schools: Broomwood Lower, Northcote Lodge, and Broomwood Higher.

The group set out to unify all their schools under a single identity, Broomwood, to create a more cohesive brand that reflects their shared heritage, academic excellence, and forward-looking ethos. This rebrand was about more than design; it was about strengthening community and clearly communicating the complete educational journey from early years through to senior preparation.

We developed an iconic logo that combines the existing Broomwood “B” with the Northcote stag, a design that honours the schools’ heritage while representing a confident, forward-looking future.

The rebrand included the creation of comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications. This extended across signage, uniforms, promotional materials, banners, and pupil resources, reinforcing the new identity throughout the schools.

The shared motto, “To Do Your Best To Be Your Best,” became central to the brand, encapsulating the schools’ belief in helping every pupil discover their potential. This core message was refined into a unifying theme and call to action: #BeYourBest.

To bring the identity to life, we supported the production of materials such as challenge books, posters, adverts, mugs, and tote bags, helping staff, pupils, and parents embrace the new Broomwood name and identity.

The rebrand delivered a strong, cohesive visual identity that conveys unity and belonging across the Broomwood schools. By blending heritage with a modern, dynamic approach, the new brand resonated with both traditional and contemporary parents, clearly communicating the schools’ shared values and educational journey.
