Foundation Party Brochure.
The Opportunity
Churcher’s College approached us with the task of designing a 28-page brochure for their annual Foundation Party, a key event aimed at raising funds for the Richard Churcher Foundation. The brief required a clean and structured design that would effectively showcase the event’s live auction entries and sign-up parties. The brochure needed to be not only informative but also visually engaging, with a focus on reinforcing the school’s brand identity through consistent use of colors, fonts, and branding elements.
The design of the Foundation Party Brochure was more than just a creative exercise; it was a strategic tool in boosting the event’s effectiveness in fundraising. By maintaining a consistent, brand-focused design, we ensured that the brochure not only met but exceeded expectations, leaving a positive impression on potential donors and participants. We were also aware that the consistency in design across multiple years demonstrates the power of branding in not only maintaining but also enhancing event success.

Our Approach
Given the positive feedback from previous designs, we chose to maintain the successful style and layout from past brochures while refining certain elements to enhance the overall visual impact. We utilised two core brand colours to create a visually cohesive and striking design. The primary colour was prominently used for body copy and key information, while the secondary colour provided contrast by highlighting parent/student quotes and delineating sections. This approach ensured the brochure was organised, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the school’s brand identity.
The brochure’s design emphasised clarity and structure, with images and graphics integrated harmoniously to complement the text. We ensured that the layout was not only easy to navigate but also left a lasting impression on the reader, which is crucial for engaging potential donors.
The Results
A well-designed brochure can be a decisive factor in the success of fundraising efforts. The clarity and appeal of the Foundation Party Brochure played a critical role in engaging attendees and encouraging participation in the live auction and sign-up parties.
The final product was a 28-page A5 brochure, printed on 200gsm silk for the cover and 150gsm silk for the internal pages, delivering a premium feel that matched the event’s prestige. The brochure’s design successfully conveyed the necessary information in a clear, appealing, and professional manner, reinforcing Churcher’s College’s brand identity and enhancing the overall event experience.
By presenting key information in an organized and visually compelling way, we helped Churcher’s College achieve its fundraising goals, demonstrating the tangible impact that thoughtful design can have on an organisation’s bottom line.
