National Museum of the Royal Navy

A trusted creative partnership

The brief

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) brings together the stories of the Royal Navy across sea, land, and air. Established in 2009 as a single body for the Royal Navy’s museums, it spans multiple venues across the UK — each dedicated to preserving and sharing the service’s extraordinary history.

In early 2023, NMRN sought a dependable creative partner to support design and print for a wide range of campaigns and events across its network of museums. With a steady flow of corporate brochures, event materials, and promotional assets required throughout the year, the museum needed a team who could deliver consistently, uphold brand standards, and adapt to fast-moving timelines.

Our first priority was establishing a strong working relationship with the NMRN team. Through open communication and reliability, we quickly built confidence in our ability to deliver — particularly on projects with tight deadlines and high visibility.

From event brochures to large-format banners, we applied the same level of care and attention to every piece. Our print expertise ensured colour accuracy, material quality, and flawless execution across all deliverables.

We took time to fully understand NMRN’s visual language, from its brand guidelines and colour palette to tone and layout preferences. This deep familiarity allowed us to create designs that were both accurate and authentic, seamlessly fitting into their existing identity.

As the partnership evolved, NMRN invited us to take on more creative freedom. These ‘off-brand’ projects allowed us to explore new ideas and visual directions while maintaining the museum’s essence, a testament to the trust and collaboration we’d built together.

“We really enjoy working with the team at TGDH they are hardworking, enthusiastic and care very much about the work they produce for us. They work seamlessly with us, and we consider them to be very much an extension of our team.”
