Portsmouth Grammar School

Designing Portsmouth Point

The brief

Portsmouth Grammar School (PGS) is a prestigious co-educational private day school in the historic heart of Portsmouth. With a strong tradition of academic excellence, the school fosters an inclusive learning environment that encourages the intellectual and personal growth of its students.

The Graphic Design House has supported PGS for over 15 years across various design projects, including the long-running Portsmouth Point magazine.

The Portsmouth Point magazine is a key editorial publication for PGS, providing a platform for students and staff to explore a wide range of subjects. The magazine reflects the school’s commitment to freedom of thought and open debate, and serves both as a communication tool and a source of pride for the PGS community.

We were tasked with producing a publication that balances engaging design with clear presentation of content, ensuring that student and staff contributions remain the focal point.
