Alleyn’s School
The client
Alleyn’s School is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 4–18, based in Dulwich and part of the Dulwich Foundation. Founded in 1619, the school combines a long history with a strong academic, artistic and sporting culture.
Supporting a distinctive school through design
Our work with Alleyn’s has developed across a range of editorial and admissions publications, each created for a different purpose and audience.
From a new Senior School prospectus and admissions guide to two established magazine titles, our role has been to translate the Alleyn’s brand into publications that feel clear, confident and distinctive. Each project has required its own creative approach, while remaining connected to the school’s wider visual identity.
Alleyn’s On: ideas given room to breathe
Blending the structure of a journal with the appeal of a magazine
Scrib: a publication with personality
Creating an evolving annual record of school life
We approached Scrib as a concept-led publication, developing a new creative direction for every annual edition. Bold editorial layouts, bespoke typography and a changing range of print finishes have helped give each issue its own character while maintaining a recognisable identity across the series.
Following the school’s rebrand, the magazine was reworked around Alleyn’s updated visual language, including its angles, colour palette and chevron motif.
A prospectus designed around every detail
Balancing visual impact, practicality and production
We developed a new Senior School prospectus and admissions guide to reflect Alleyn’s updated brand and messaging. The project considered every part of the publication, from its compact, waste-conscious format and uncoated FSC Mix Credit stock to the binding, die-cut cover and contrasting foil finishes.
The visual approach established for the Senior School will also inform future prospectus and admissions materials for Alleyn’s Junior School and Alleyn’s Oakfield.
“We really appreciate the flexibility and accommodating nature, especially when it came to last-minute changes and moving deadlines remaining incredibly responsive and ensuring that every adjustment was implemented without compromising on quality.”

Alleyn’s School
An ongoing publishing partnership
Our relationship with Alleyn’s has developed across a growing range of editorial and admissions publications. Although each project has required its own tone and visual approach, they have all involved the same close attention to content, structure, production and print detail.
We will continue supporting Alleyn’s with future editions of Scrib and Alleyn’s On, alongside developing prospectus and admissions materials that carry the new visual approach across the Junior School and Alleyn’s Oakfield.
