FAQs

What experience do you have working with educational institutions?

At The Graphic Design House, we’ve partnered with schools, colleges, and universities across the UK, including independent and private institutions in London and beyond. Our work spans full rebrands, prospectuses, recruitment campaigns, digital and print design, websites, and campus signage. We’re used to working alongside in-house marketing and admissions teams, stepping in when support is needed most. Because we understand the academic cycle and pressure points like open days, graduations, and student recruitment, our designs not only look great but help institutions meet their goals with confidence.

How do you tailor your design services to meet the specific needs of different educational institutions?

Schools, colleges, and universities face unique pressures, rising costs, fee sensitivities, falling student numbers, and growing competition. We understand those challenges, and we know the balance you need to strike: delivering high-quality creative and printed materials while working within tight budgets and timelines. That’s why we start with your priorities, whether it’s student recruitment, alumni engagement, or brand strength, and shape our design solutions around them. From prospectuses and campaigns to microsites, digital content, and campus materials, we create work that not only looks great but also supports your goals in a demanding environment.

How do you handle tight deadlines for educational events, such as open days or graduations?

We’re experienced in delivering time-sensitive projects for schools, colleges, and universities. From open days to graduations, we combine clear communication, careful project management, and our in-house print and mailing capabilities to meet tight deadlines. Working closely with your team, we set realistic timelines, provide regular updates, and make sure everything is ready on time, so you can focus on the event itself.

Can you help us refresh our existing branding or should we start from scratch?

We can work with your existing branding to modernise and refine it, or create a completely new visual identity from scratch. Whether you’re evolving your current school, college, or university brand or starting fresh, we ensure the final design reflects your values, resonates with your audience, and strengthens your institution’s impact.

How do you ensure that your designs are accessible and inclusive for all users, including those with disabilities?

Accessibility is a priority. For digital projects, we follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), using clear typography, high-contrast colours, and easily navigable interactive elements. For print, we focus on readability, layout, and visual clarity to ensure materials are inclusive and effective for all students, parents, and staff.

How do you incorporate feedback from students, faculty, and staff during the design process?

We believe the best designs come from collaboration. During the process, we gather input from students, faculty, and staff through surveys, workshops, and focus groups. Our online proofing tool also makes it easy to involve multiple stakeholders. This ensures the final design reflects your school, college, or university community and meets the needs of everyone it serves.

What is your approach to designing for both print and digital mediums?

We create designs that work seamlessly across print and digital, maintaining a consistent brand identity. By designing in CMYK from the start, we ensure colours translate accurately from digital screens to printed materials. Our unified approach means brochures, social media graphics, websites, and other assets all convey the same clear, engaging message, helping students, parents, and staff experience your school, college, or university brand consistently across every platform.
