National Museum of the Royal Navy
Bringing history to life through bold, imaginative design
The client
The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is the UK’s only museum dedicated to telling the complete story of the Royal Navy, past and present. With 11 sites across the country its mission is to preserve our naval heritage and make it engaging, relevant and accessible for all ages.
Bringing the stories of the
Royal Navy to life
Our work with the NMRN spans strategy, campaign design and on-site visitor experiences — all focused on one goal: helping audiences see history in a new light. Together, we’ve created campaigns that drive engagement, experiences that educate, and visuals that keep the Dockyard’s story alive and evolving.
Our work
We’ve partnered with the National Museum of the Royal Navy to deliver creative campaigns and experiences that make history feel alive. From audience engagement to family learning, each project showcases how design can surprise, educate, and inspire.
Audience development campaign
A campaign to surprise, delight, and bring visitors back for more
We worked with Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to create a bold, year long campaign that reintroduced the Dockyard as a place full of discovery, helping shift perceptions and increase visitor engagement.
Youth education campaign
Turning shipboard science into a fun, family-friendly adventure
We created a set of illustrated characters and a discovery trail to help younger visitors explore the fascinating fungi living aboard HMS Victory, making conservation engaging, accessible and, interactive.
“We really enjoy working with the team at TGDH. They are hardworking, enthusiastic and care very much about the work they produce for us. They work seamlessly with us, and we consider them to be very much an extension of our team. I’ve never worked with an agency that are so responsive, our organisation and offer is complex and they are able to navigate that and give it their all.”
